North Dakota State began its final week of spring practice this afternoon on the NDSU practice fields under sunny skies and little wind. Today was the only afternoon practice of the month long drills because of no school at the university.
Over the weekend, Jeff and I found out that the Bison moved sophomore fullback Brock Robbins to tight end. The Cavalier product, who was really coming on last fall until a broken foot, is really impressing the coaching staff with his athletic ability. One injury note, RJ Urzendowski has been bothered by a hip flexor, the now senior wide receiver will not play in Saturday’s Green and Gold game.
Lastly, Jeff and I debate the worthiness of a Spring Game, how much longer will these be in the mix? Would any fanbase be open to their players going full contact and risking injury? Some schools draw 80 thousand for these games! Enjoy the blog, full gameday coverage from the Dome begins at 9 am Saturday with Kolpack and Izzo, we hope you join us.
