The next offseason series begins today with a look at the top opponents that NDSU will face in 2018. It’s not going out on a stretch to say some of the best players in the country reside in the Missouri Valley and the Bison will be seeing them on a week to week basis.
First up on the countdown is Northern Iowa’s Marcus Weymiller. Weymiller is an interesting story, a former walk-on who played wide receiver his first two years with the Panthers. He got some spot duty at running back late in 2016 out of the wildcat and that opened the UNI coaches eyes. Weymiller was hurt early last season, but then exploded onto the scene at SDSU, running for 170 yards and two touchdowns in the Panthers blowout win.
Weymiller is going to be a senior in 2018 and with now three year starter Eli Dunne back at quarterback for the Panthers, that gives UNI a good place to start on offense this fall.
