North Dakota State and Youngstown State have played some tight games in recent times and that tradition continued Saturday at the Fargodome.
The game was tied at the end of the third quarter until the Bison scored ten unanswered points to knock off the Penguins, 17-7.
NDSU’s defense was impressive, registering four sacks, an interception and forcing Youngstown to turn the ball over on downs early in the game.
Easton Stick completed 13 of 23 passes for 197 yards and a touchdown, but his receivers had five drops in the game.
The Bison improve to 9-0 on the season and 6-0 in the Missouri Valley and with the win, clinch a share of the Missouri Valley title, which is an eighth straight championship, something that has never been done before in conference history. NDSU also earns the automatic qualifier to the FCS Playoffs.
Eric Peterson, Mike McFeely, Jeff Kolpack and Dom Izzo recap the Bison win and discuss the day across the FCS.
