North Dakota State will play for a seventh Division 1 national championship after ousting rival South Dakota State, 44-21 in the FCS semifinals.

Easton Stick, in his final game inside the Fargodome, authored maybe his best performance. Stick ran for 147 yards and three touchdowns, while completing 12 of 15 passes for 169 yards and a touchdown.

The Bison offensive line dominated the game, as NDSU ran for 439 yards and racked up 609 total yards of offense and dominated the line of scrimmage. NDSU’s defense made life miserable for SDSU quarterback Taryn Christion, who was hit several times and had to leave the game twice after some particularly tough hits.

Seth Wilson was a major factor on the Bison offense, with a 32 yard pass reception and a 78 yard run to start the third quarter that set up the touchdown that made the game 21-7.

NDSU will have a chance to make history when they return to Frisco and win a seventh national championship, which would set the FCS record for titles in the division. They are tied with Georgia Southern for that mark.

They will play the winner of Maine and Eastern Washington, who play in the other semifinal tomorrow at 1pm on ESPN2.

Dom Izzo, Mike McFeely, Jeff Kolpack and Eric Peterson break down the NDSU win and look ahead to a busy coming week.
