North Dakota State has started its third week of spring football and has to deal with two injuries on the offensive side of the ball.

Sophomore running back Seth Wilson suffered what is being described a “major knee injury” last week during practice. Wilson, who was expected to be a major player in the Bison backfield in 2019, was not at practice Monday. Wilson played in the NCAA maximum four games last season and keep his redshirt status. He stood out as a freshman in the 2017 FCS Playoffs, scoring touchdowns in three straight games.

Sophomore tight end Josh Babicz has an ankle injury that will keep him out for the rest of the spring. Babicz played in fifteen games in 2018, without registering a reception. Babicz was expected to earn more reps in 2019 with the graduation of Nate Jenson and Ben Ellefson being used more at fullback.

Dom Izzo and Jeff Kolpack reflect on the injuries and focus on a couple of positions that new players may see the field.
